Mum was cared for by the St Francis Team during the last month of her life until she died on 05 April from metastic cancer. She received the bery best care from St Francis Team who looked after our family in so many ways. We will never find the words to descibe the care and compassion mum received in her final days. As well as caring for mum, the St Francis Team looked after our family too. We had access to their family support service and we were able to have our meals in their cafe which meant more time spent with mum.

We will always remember their compassion when we were recovering from Covid. To be on the safe side they moved mum to an accessible ward and allowed us to go into her room via the patio. This kind gesture on Mother’s Day meant that we were able to celebrate Mum’s special day with her. We took flowers and read her out special messages . Other times , we took Charlie the family dog in which always brought a smile to mum’s face
